Forge Copper Set

Some pieces you put on because they look right - these two you put on because something in you knows they belong there. I made this set for the people whose joints and hands have been keeping score of a life well worked - the lattice is engraved diamond by diamond across the full band, the floral piece traced slowly alongside it, both finished the same morning.

Copper has been worn against the skin for thousands of years by people who needed their bodies to stay in the fight, and the ones who come back to me wearing both always say the same thing: they stopped noticing what they used to notice.

This is one of the last sets I'll make before I close my workshop for good. I hope they find the wrists that have earned them.
